«We Could Be Legends»

"Just because you're mr. Tuff guy, doesn't mean anyone else won't get it. I mean, I'm pretty sure being stabbed, shot, and kidnapped is enough to give people PTSD." Jessi replied casually, like they were discussing the weather.
"I'm just speaking for myself, dragon-girl."Wolfram growled.
River's head turned to him, her eyes slightly cold. "Get a joke, kid-- I mean, Wolfram." She growled, flicking her tail. She turned her back eyes to Alice, before turning and walking into the kitchen.
"Shut it River. I don't need to hear it."

Brisa nodded ruefully in agreement. "I hope everyone'll be okay." She said.

"I'm fine, thanks." She said, almost wishing she had some terrible injury to compare to his so she didn't sound so wimpy. "Why do you think you aren't hungry?" She asked, her voice attempting to become stronger. "You should probably at least drink some water." She suggested gently.
Brisa sat up suddenly and grabbed the envelope over at the kitchen counter, returning quickly and setting it between them. "That reminds me, we got it. We got the key."
"Ummm, no thanks. Well I mean, I did ram my skull into multiple things today. A metal wall, a wood wall and a pine tree."Wolfram replied, still talking calmly."My multiple concussions could be part of it."He chuckled softly in spite of himself.
He looked instantly alert when she mentioned the key. He walked forward towards it slowly, his hand brushing the wall."Really?"He swallowed hard."Is it a litteral key? Or...something else? What does it do?"He glanced over at her, trying to look as non-threatening as possible.

"I'm just speaking for myself, dragon-girl."Wolfram growled.

"Shut it River. I don't need to hear it."

"I AM NOT A DRAGON!" Jessi screamed at him, standing up. Her face was red with anger. Toby ran inside. "What's going on?" He asked, looking between Jessi and Wolfram.

"Alright Dragon."Wolfram shrugged, looking at Toby."She's being a drama queen."He replied.

River turned, giving him a cold glare. "You shut it, kid. I'm not going to deal with this crap, so shut it. If you think you can go around telling people to shut up, and call them names, and you wonder why you've only got like two friends-"
"Mom..." Lachlan muttered edging towards them, and was met with River's slightly calmer glance. "Maybe... Uh." He stopped, at a lost for words. "You want some pizza? The others are gonna eat it all if you don't hurry up." He said suddenly in a teasing voice, and held back a sigh as River smirked, throwing one last glance at Wolfram, before taking a seat at the table.
Lachlan scrambled over to Wolfram, glaring. "She's about to kill you for you, and I rather you not die after all this, so please, do my odd soul and favor and just-- You know what? I'm probably talking to myself. Never mind."

"Alright Dragon."Wolfram shrugged, looking at Toby."She's being a drama queen."He replied.

Jessi grabbed her plate and hurled it at his head. Toby's eyes went black and a shadowy hole stood in front of Wolfram, absorbing the plate. "Don't hurt him." Toby growled. He turned to Wolfram. "Call her a dragon one more time. I dare you." He said, as shadows slowly started spreading from where he was standing around the room like a contagious disease.

"Don't call her a dragon, Kitty." Camilla snarled through a full mouth, her face twisted in hate.
"Camilla." Finlay growled in her ear, a nervous look in his eyes. "Let's just stay out of it."

Wolfram was about to respond to both River and Lachlan, when Toby threatened him. He threw his head back, letting out a laugh. He looked down at Toby, eyes glittering crazily."You don't scare me."He snarled."Death doesn't scare me. In fact, I will greet death with open arms, at least I'll be free of this pain. Beside, you're to cowardly to hurt me. You wouldn't hurt a fly." He looked over at Jessi."DRAGON GIRL!"He shrieked at her.

Toby punched Wolfram in the stomach, a small smile spreading across his face. "No one said I was going to kill you. That would be too easy. I will make you suffer, and when you finally ask for help, no one will be there, because everyone hates you." Toby said, is voice slow and soft. There wasn't any emotion in it, making him sound almost robotic.
Jessi's eyes widened and she stared at Toby. She had never seen him like that, and it scared her. As much as she hated Wolfram, she didn't want Toby to hurt him too much. "Toby, stop it. If you guys can't get along then go into different rooms." She said.
Toby heard someone say his name. What am I doing? He thought. He wanted to stop, to leave, but it was like a bad dream, one he couldn't control.
