Lachlan set his water down before speaking. "My twin brother, me, and my parents."
Wolfram nodded."I see. I've never lived with more then one person."My mother... He remembered the day he asked, a flashback echoing in his mind."Mom? Whatever happened to my dad?"Young 13 year old Wolfram asked his mother, his blue eyes glittering with wonder. His mother turned to look at him, her hazel eyes so calming and sweet. They darkened as he asked."He never wanted to live with us, Wolf. He.....He Didnt want you. He called you a mistake, and so many other horrid things..." He felt his mothers arms around him, hugging him."But you are precious, Wolfram. Remember that. Don't ever let your fathers words get to your head. You are special, and no matter what, I will always love you.

Lachlan nodded, noticing Wolfram's eyes grow distant. He must be thinking of her- his mother.
"What about your grandparents? Or..." He stopped, realizing they were probably dead, or wanted nothing to do with their grandson.

Jessi sat in the tree, humming. She didn't know what song it was, or most of the lyrics, she had only heard Toby singing it the day before and it got stuck in her head. Toby had left his knife in the park when he bolted, so Jessi was now using it to carve points in sticks. When they would get sharp enough she would throw them into another tree to see if they would stick in the tree, which so far none had. She looked at Grace to see if she had woken up yet. Jessi wasn't surprised to see that she hadn't. I wish I knew where she lived. I want get her out of the rain. Jessi thought.

Peter was feeling a little bit lost. Alice had said to scatter, and now everyone was heading off in different directions, including wyvern-Jessi and his sister. Oh, man. How am I supposed to explain Grace to my parents? He watched Alice approach the mermaid lady. Maybe he should go over there. But, then again, there were a few cops over there, and he didn't feel like having to talk to them.

The moment Sherri shifted into her second Skin, alarms went off in Sandy's head. She arched her back, hissed and spat at the intruding cat, «this is MY house, back off, stranger!» She hissed.

Maryella rolled her eyes, exchanging the bag of sweets for a plastic can of cat treats and shook it. "Sandy, be nice!" She called. Then, turning to the undestracted Alice, she said, "I don't know if you could tell this, but I'm a Siren. I'm sure that doesn't mean much to you, but you may know that our songs can enchant- litterally." Maryella leaned over the tub, offering the treats to the naughty little cat, who approached unphased by the water dripping over the sides. "An enchatress or enchantor can tell when another can do the same," she eyed Alice, "and the tall one had you under quite the spell... but that doesn't matter, does it?"
Don't worry, I don't mean harm, Sherri said gently to Sandy.
She heard Maryella mention Indigo.
Oh, that would explain some things, Sherri thought, distrust worming in her belly. She didn't trust anyone who told lies, no matter how nice she was.

She swiveled an orange ear. Footsteps.
Sherri shifted, her ears heard them approaching. "The police," she whispered in plain English. "They're here. Hide."

Lachlans voice snapped Wlfram out of his daze."They wanted nothing to do with a cat child. My mother was a human, her parents where humans. My dad was a inhuman, and I inherited that gene. My mothers parents are dead now, but even before they Didnt like me."He replied, his voice soured with bitterness.

Lachlan nodded, he opened his mouth to speak, but closed it as the sound of the door being unlocked reached his ears. "Looks like someone is home..." He said, stepping out of the kitchen to see a tall, lithe, woman step through the door. She had pale skin, dark brown hair that fell down her back, a brown wolf tail, and instead of human ears she had dark brown wolf ones, she was wearing blue jeans and a grey long sleeve shirt. In her arms she carried groceries.
River Katrina Loson strode over to the counter, seeming to not notice Wolfram. She set the groceries down. "Hey, Lach."
"Uh, hey, Mom. You're back early from shopping-"
"Who's the cat-boy with a gash in his head leaning against the wall?"

Wolfram narrowed his eyes. He hated being called cat-boy."My name is Wolfram, Ma'am."He mumbled, not meeting her gaze.
