«We Could Be Legends»

River blinked, the madness shrinking from her eyes. "What the-- Emily? Good lord, I almost shot you. You gotta stop doing this, man." She growled, putting away her gun. She glared at Wolfram. "I told you to stay with the others, Wolfram, lord knows only you and Toby have more or less the ability to protect themselves." She growled, looking back to Emily.
"River I knew what the consequences would have been if it wasn't anyone we knew. I'm a adult, I can make my own decisions, you can't always protect me." Wolfram replied tensely. "And I am more then able to protect myself, thank you very much." He growled, shoving the knife back into his sweatshirt.

River rolled her eyes at Wolfram. "I meant your physical wounds--" At that moment Toby tapped her, and her eyes followed his hand to the form, who's figure was obscured by the waterfall. "Wolfram, Toby, Taylor, Alice, stay here." She growled, a deathly tone to her voice that could send chills done every bone in someone's body.
She gripped her gun, pulling it from it's holster as she crept forward, her hands holding the pistol with blue ribbon form, her body lowered to the ground ever-so slightly.
She slid behind some rocks, before coming out, pushing the gun against the back of Emily's head. "Who are you, and why are you down here?" She snarled, her voice silky, but dripping with poison. She was yet to recognize who it was.

"River Im a adult you can't-" Wolfram drew off as he realized what River saw. Ignoring River's previous warning, he slunk through the shadows. Silent. Unnoticed. Hidden. With knife in hand, he came around the boulders to the front of the woman. "Do not move, we have you-" He broke off, his eyes adjusting to the dull light, enough to make out who it was. "River! It's...I don't know her name. It's....Sherri's mom."

"I told you to stay with the others, Wolfram, lord knows only you and Toby have more or less the ability to protect themselves." She spat annoyedly, looking back to Emily.
Emily jumped back into the cave, scrabbling over rocks to avoid River's intimidating form. "Emily... Lastless," she squeaked.
As they calmed the banter, she returned to the opening. "And what are you doing here?"

"None of your business. Tell us what you are doing here first." Wolfram growled.

River sniffed, giving him an odd look. "I'm not protective of you, I'd just rather you be with the others. Like I told you to. And I didn't say I doubted that you can protect yourself, I mean, I do, but you still disobeyed direct orders, plus, maybe you can protect yourself, but I don't trust Taylor or Alice to protect themselves." She growled, annoyed that he had ignored her order, and that he had said she was protective of him. Okay, Sure, she was getting protective of him, but she wouldn't admit to that. "And isn't that Lachlan's knife?" She asked quizzically.

River raised an eyebrow. "Doing our thing. I asked you a question first, answer it now, Emily Lastless." She snarled, her body straightened to her full height, her form intimidating.

Wolfram ignored Taylor's shriek from where she stood beside Toby, saying something about her being able to blind people with the snap of her fingers.
Rolling his eyes, he glanced at Emily, before looking back at River. "Yeah...He let me use it in the park, and I forgot to give it back to him." He muttered, eyes glowing brightly in the dark shadows.

(dry if this is too late, I'll try to be on more) Yris nodded, looking at Brisa, whom she had known longer and could formally say she was friends with, somewhat worriedly. She masked it rather promptly as she realized three girls whispering was going to cause quite the scene, so she simply kept to herself for the rest of the class time.
Brisa went back to her fruitless online searching, glancing up at the teacher every couple minutes. He seemed suspiciously lazy. Most subs aren’t that useless.

(I’m legitimately worried about the fact that Brisa has the key right now...)

River gave a slight nod, her eyes going still on Emily. It wasn't that odd that she had fled here, she had once lived here, but she couldn't trust her. Not now, there were so few people who deserved trust now.

Wolfram nonchalantly pulled the knife from his pocket, snapping it open. With half a eye on Emily, he traced the cold, hard metal side of the blade lightly. Keep watching her....don't let your guard down...don't trust her....

"For goodness sake woman, shut up, please. Nobody cares. You don't see me or Alice complaining, do you?" Toby said, tired of listening to her.
