Oh. So mood then. Well, you've got warm and cool colors. Black is dramatic. Anything very saturated is happy, anything unsaturated is gloomy.I've tried that before, but I agree that it's probably not the right way to shade a drawing.
Yeah, I do, but I don't know how to find a color that helps the drawing to look creepy, or sad, or happy.

*a subject I'm actually good at* xDHow do you choose the right colors for a virtual drawing, shade the drawing, etc?
YASSSSS. The colour wheel is the best. XDI assume you know about the color wheel already. This is something that I struggle with, so I may not be the best person to ask.
Welp. Mum doesn't think it's good enough for Facebook, so I musta screwed up somewhere. =_=

OHHH, this makes a lot of sense. Thank you, I greatly appreciate your advice.

Firstly, always make a new layer for each of your colours (if you can). I learned the hard way. XD
You can work colours by choosing a base colour (lots of artists choose to use a darker base), then adding shading and/or lighting. :3
If you're doing environmental lighting and shading, you'll need to adjust your colours to suit that. But, if it's "plain", you only have to work with basics.
Don't just make the colours lighter and darker. Switch up the colours and such. (For example, use grey and red to shade peach.)
I hope this is making sense. XD
If not, I can add some pictures that I love which seem to explain better.

It looks great but maybe make the chin on the left side slope at a steeper angle to thicken the chinOkay, so tell me how to fix it. I didn't spend all this time on it for nothing. Help meowt, guys.
