Whats the plan in the shade or sun? Just an average shoebox or an amazon box or??
Whatll be in the bottom? Any added insulation for stabilizing temp?

Can I just wrap them in a dish towel and set them in an unused quail cage/shade?

Or should I put them in an ice chest?

I haven't really thought about exactly how yet.

idk. i had considered it before but in a bowl under a light for nighttime lows in a carport. Never got around to it

Maybe try one smallish batch in each?

How about I just mark tomorrows eggs and just leave them in with the quail that way the dummies can maybe sit on them at night.

LOL it won’t around here... not this year. The low last night was around 39 Fahrenheit. At least that was the temp when DH got up (way earlier than the sun did ‘cause he napped all evening).

i just heard peeping from the incubator....1 and 3/4 hatch so far! #2 hatched backward and still has his head stuck in the egg!! poor lil guy!!

I have ten refrigerated eggs that are developing. I can not believe it.

My first ever quail hatch had refrigerated eggs. 7/9 fertile eggs hatched. Good luck kiki!
