➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Oh my...I have two within two miles of me.
I am going to call one and see what the requirements are. Both of them say they have requirements to join. There are a few other clubs that aren't as close that do not have any requirements to join though.

Wow that is awesome!! And to think you never even knew they were there all this time haha

He might be feeling really bad especially since he isn't eating.
:D. I would have the Mex help him if he were mine.
I’m not as much worried about losing/culling this one bird as I am about it being something infectious that might go through the flock. Could it be coccidiosis os something? Thoughts on treating the flock?

I've been massaging this last chick's toes and put it into boots for a couple of hours. The toes seem to be straightening out nicely after taking the boots off. I put it in the brooder with the rest of the chicks.

Serious curly toes isn't straightening out at all and couldn't walk in the boots. It's spending a lot of time on its back.

Read this...see if it fits.
I would think that you would have more than just one quail showing signs if it were this.

Kind of fits though this description of coccidiosis I found also kind of fits.
The symptoms of this disease is standing in the corner with fluffed up feathers, eyes closed, droopiness, blood and sometimes mucus in the poop, loss of appetite, not drinking and have usually lost enough weight they are very thin.

I checked the flock again and everyone seems to be running around doing quail stuff. No obvious signs of distress.

This is how he has been since I brought him in the house.

My little assisted breech hatch has some majorly curled feet too. I gave him overnight but think he’ll have to be culled. I couldn’t even get boots on him in a way that was useful to him. :hit

I'm so sorry. That sounds like the one I have sitting in the incubator now. I don't want to cull it, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to. It's had 24 hours now. I promised it until tonight.

If it is coccidiosis, treating all of them with Corid will help. If it is not coccidiosis, treating them all with Corid will not hurt them.
