we had a hot and sweaty but productive day today! hubby did the mowing before breakfalunch and then we tilled and cleaned up the chicken wasteland! moved the bunnies, all 6 chickens and my “littles” in there after losing 2 more “littles” to the cannibals! it’s definitely the male quail killing them and everyone picking them clean......so I can’t release them into the aviary anymore until they are at least 6-8 weeks old and/or big enough to survive! one of the offending males looks to be Falbio and I can’t bring myself to cull him because he is falb fee and also looks to have the “curly” feather gene.
hubs also built a shelf for my grow-out cage and I got the shed babies moved in there. now the droppings can fall through and I can dispose of them easier.
