I thought for sure my new babies with this white are going to be girls because their moms have it.

Red on the chest not covered by white, looks like a boy to me.

I think the ones with the nice markings on neck and chest like the ones you have pictured would be tuxedo. The ones with blotches or incomplete markings I would call pied, or incomplete tuxedo.

I don't think there is a standard for coturnix though, so that is why there's a gazillion names for almost a gazillion color combos.

Man I shouldn't have offed these two tuxs.

Lockdown for my Falb Fee is on Saturday. That means that they should start hatching around Monday-ish. My incubator is terrible at keeping the humidity up, and I have to go to work. If I were to put an extra sponge in there, how much harm will it do to have really high humidity (around 75%) that gradually drops (possibly as low as 15%) before I get home?
