➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

:woot

You were worried for nothing right?
The testers aren't monsters.

Did they even actually PT test your quail?

She did. I was nervous about her cancelling but knew i was clean becuz i had the necropsy in April. She cancelled twice after i cancelled once and it was a mess but now its Done. She was so sweet :love

She didnt Wanna test the quail, worried theyd have heart attacks, but it was nothing. my quail being raised at eye level with toddlers the first week, theyve seen Lots of commotion and im always bothering them

I taught the tester how to vent sex quail and tried to get her to join the site. She says no one really vets chickens so she could probly learn alot from us :)

Awesome, I'm glad it went well.

Ahh okay. That makes sense then. Although I think I might prefer to have color haha idk yet.

But I wonder if you could have kept them and crossed with some bigger quail later to get more size but keep the color?
I am not a fan of intergration.
I rather keep my batches seperate.

Unfortunately, the prettiest birds of this hatch wound up male, including the lone pansy. Upside is that the new girls (all 10 of them) get along great with existing hens and almost all of them are laying. I'm filling about two of these bowls a week—need to find more ways to use eggs up.

Also getting a single, noticeably blue-ish egg a day. I've yet to identify the hen laying it. Is this one of the "Celadon" eggs I've been hearing about?
