my falb fee tux is a confirmed male!! but will definitely be a keeper and high hopes that he makes some pretty babies!!! the pearl/pansy looks to be a hen and should start laying soon! Mystery batch #1 has been moved to grow-out cage and my “3” including “lefty” will be moved to shed brooder as soon as I clean it out to make room for new babies if they ever get around to hatching!!! buttons go to lockdown on Wednesday.....still deciding whether i’m going to move them to incubator #2 with current hatch or set-up to hatch them in the J12.???

None have hatched yet?
I'm dying.

These are my first ever cleaned birds.
I did not kill them but I did cut their head off once they were dead and processed them all by myself.

I came home to a broody Australorp so now I’m kinda thinking about not breaking her and letting her hatch some eggs.

You can see sometimes it is very obvious and other times he just looks like he is tilting his head to look at you. On that note any votes on if the Italians are male or female?

i’m dying too!! candled 1 yesterday that was internal pip with good movement.....several including that 1 now have external pips......day 18 starts in 15 ish minutes! going to probably give them until morning and if none have hatched, I may start cracking them open!! (or candle)

can’t see the breast very well in these pics....but looking awful “male” to me from the angle of the pics but looks like wild types are a few females!

I only have adult Italian that are females so I’m not quite sure what I’m looking for. They have started getting darker feathers on their heads which I think is a male thing?

I keep thinking at least some of the wild type will lose some spots and turn out to be boys but hasn’t happened yet.
