Anybody want to set eggs tomorrow? I have 20 to set, plus whatever we collect tomorrow. These will be the last set for the year I think unless I figure out a grow out setup for winter.

Yep!not bad, where these your own eggs?
That's not bad at all....I hatch alot of my own as well as shipped eggs...sometimes there's no difference between the shipped eggs vs. home grown...except fertility, mine are usually fertile, shipped eggs can appear to be infertile but the shipping has alot to do with the appearance of infertile eggs....they may be fertile but the shipping disrupts the blastoderm and they never develop, appearing as if they were infertile.Yep!

Oh yea... the naked chick. Well is not so naked. I couldn't figure out which one it was the next morning because it fluffed up just fine. I was concerned, but I guess the feathers just dried with all the "hairs" clumped together. It managed to fluff up, likely by brushing against the other chicks.Im setting either thurs or fri. Hows ur naked chick?

Maybe... I might do another staggered set. It worked pretty well this last time and allows for more eggs since my quail are laying like hell thanks to many of them still molting. We got 5 eggs today, compared to 10-12 typically. I feel like I should sweety the oldest ones tomorrow because they'll be 9 day already. Then I will add some more on Friday of Saturday to attempt to get as many as possible into the incubator. Afterall, my turner can hold 120 eggs. I wish somebody on here lived close to us so I could get more eggs to fill it completely.Awesome
Ya wanna wait another day or two for me to set?
