So i watched the whole Myshire vid plus some extra ones to see what hes got goin on over there. Pretty nice. There are some things i choose to do differently like the space and some things i think he could learn from us but all in all seems like a decent guy whos jus tryn to earn a living. That conveyer belt system is pretty cool for a shed set up @BReeder! I bet you could replicate it if you set your mind and budget to do so.

I've seen this before. It is cool. I just think it's unnecessary and could leave gaps where poop collects at the edges equating to flies and maggots. It does save space though since you don't need the 4' of space in front of the cage to stand and pull the trays out.

They are doing it again. 3 weeks old and I've got a quail chick that can't stand. It just rained, so I will look closely for buffalo gnats. Haven't noticed them. Have noticed the mosquitoes. We got a direct hit from the aerial spraying last night. Maybe an overdose of mosquito fogger insecticide/biocide? The government is poisoning us.

Since I mixed the eggs and have jumbos with the luckys, no clue on heritage. Everyone has vitamins in the water, so I'm hoping that isn't it.

I guess it could be ebola. West Nile Virus? Bird Flu? Maybe leprosy? Probably bad juju.

I talked it over w my dh he is interested. Thought we could make the scraper part of the belt housing to be wider than the belt to keep from a buildup along the edges. Then the scrapper could be scraped off afterward and it could be all clean. Also tho takes up space in its depth. DH was worried about where we would get it but i told him i bet the fabric stores carry something usable.

Mosquitoes transmit West Nile. The main symptom that I have noticed is dehydration. I used to find a lot of song birds that were victims of West Nile. Since I made a pond for them, I rarely find any West Nile victims. I never have had any known cases among my poultry.
Found it. Now what?

Eradicating mold in the swamp is Don Quixote. A noble, but endless, cause.
Look up treatment for botulism.
