I had to get a mortar & pestle to fix the first feed I had for my Bobs, it's a good upper body workout to grind their feed...

Mine are used to whole grains and chunks of stuff. They best figure it out cuz I'm not going to grind it up for them

My Bobs needed almost powder consistency when they first hatched, thank goodness that didn't last long.
