I have lights on them they have plenty of space they hit 8 weeks yesterday I mean come on what’s the hold up you have everything you need let’s get this show on the roadeven though it happens much faster than with chickens, waiting on first eggs can be torture!
i didn’t even get mine collected last night.....we had to process the turkeys way past dark and the quail were very flighty with us walking through.....luckily low was near 50 so they didn’t freeze.
how many females do you have?? are all the extra males processed already? you could sacrifice a female if planning to process soon to get an idea of how close they are
Well I’m going to process 12 on Wednesday and they are all the smaller ones I’m sure there are some females in that mix and I’m hoping I find some yolks inside or something that indicates close to point of lay

i told DH that i much prefer quail processing but he reminded me that even though it seems easier, we would have do do 100 to equal the turkeys
still have to finish processing 3 deer this week
