Are we all using leg bands? I dunno what size to buy? Maybe finch equivalent would do!

I hope somebody knows what size to buy. I have been wondering the same thing. Also, when to put the bands on. I don't want to have to remove bands from a growing chick and replace with larger bands. Once the legs stop growing I'd like to put bands on the birds. I'd rather run multiple brooders even than deal with removing leg bands from growing chicks.

So, for BANTAM/STANDARD size, not jumbo, I use the Chicken Hill poultry bands, and it's xmall chick size 2 for teeny weenies, small chick for juveniles, and medium chick for adults. Medium gets real close to being too small on the bigger birds but just baaaarely still works on all of mine, no circulation cut off.

Also, I try not to band them until they're adults. I use sharpie on the head for chicks if I have to. Don't want to risk forgetting one

Anyone using a rotisserie? I feel like I need a quail rotisserie or smoker in my life..

Since they're colors instead of numbers, mine get banded on both legs - bloodline(s) on one foot and unique combo on the other. More combinations that way.

No rotisserie here. Just the smoker rack and grates.
