I can't look this kind of stuff up because I won't know if what I am looking at is correct or not.

It's a pretty standard technique. There's not many wrong ways to do it, unless you're putting a chokehold on them!

They will if you use a finch hold.

I do more of a v-hold with their head in between my index and middle fingers, but yeah, that'll work too.

Pick a time when you can be patient and wait. Put some food in your hand. Put your hand so that the back of it is touching the bedding and your arm as close to the bedding as possible. Talk softly and quietly to them. Wait!!!! Eventually they will come to your hand, crawl in it and start eating. Do not move.

Hey everyone! I have 18 button quail eggs from ebay in between my brinsea mini advance II and my LG 9300 due to hatch on April 30th!

finches are extremely difficult! buttons are difficult especially when young....it’s funny that in the aviary, they seem calmer than in the cage and their feet are definitely better!! no one has attempted escape yet......and budgies were definitely excited to return outside today!! here’s some pics of “playtime” during there house-lockdown oopsie my phone is still outside....will edit to include pics in a bit
