➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Actually the 4th egg might hatch. I saw movement so I'll let it sit. These quail are so darn cute.

Heading to the store to get some fake plants and some stuff for the garden. I also need a storage bin for the chicks brooder because the Deathlayers are hatching soon.

The quail are doing good eating, drinking, and pooping.
Deathlayers are gorgeous, good luck with them. I wish i could have some death layers

Here they are... I actually got them for free from a friend because she had bought a bunch of them and her and her boyfriend split them between each other... She ended up with all roosters 😂

Are these mixes? They are lovely boys, but they don't look like Deathlayers to me.

They're definitely Deathlayers. They're silver Deathlayers. My friend paid a ton for these chicks from a reputable breeder...

Umm, even purebred chickens can look pretty bad for the breed. They look like a faded, scruffier version of that picture which is just probably a show quality bird

We’ve been working on the yard again today!! (Trying to beat the rain) can’t believe how quickly the ducks have grown!! Pretty sure quack is a drake....wont know for sure with quick until a couple more weeks....

That's what they look like... I'm not certain why you're saying they aren't. But it's all good.
To me, the necks don't look white, and the eyes don't look black. Both are defining features of the breed. I'm not trying to be contrary, I'm just asking. They're pretty all the same, and I'm sure you'll get some nice looking chicks out of them, and that's what matters.
