➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Nope. Not at all. Got plenty. Send customers.

Have chicken and quail eggs in frig. Saw someone posting quail for sale at the farm store. What a wonderful idea. I think they now have competition.

Pricing. Pricing. Hmm.
I just raised the price of my hens. $5 for chicks under 3 weeks, $7 for roos, $15 for hens.

Thank you, nice lady! Much appreciated. Some wise man said start high and lower to see what the demand it. Economics.

I wonder if I could subcontract Kiki as a surrogate hatcher. :D Kiki - ya wanna be a surrogate? But first, customers.

@Kiki - did you send Zac a candling video? He hasn't posted one yet.

You know what has me so upset about the possible genetics thing? I was really hoping to keep this one. She's big and beautiful. If she has a chance of bad genes, though, should I?

Keep her, just try to get a male that isn't so closely related. If she isn't showing any problems she can be carrying recessive problems but they won't be a problem unless her mate has the same recessive problems.

Introduce new genetics. Adding something fresh can stabilize the color and also set you back. MyShire has a finite gene pool.

You've never seen Gouda and Nooch 😂 I'll send you a pic. They call them blue I think or Lavendar. I call them silver lol.
Wait I think I have seen them but I forgot 😂🤣🙈 I remember the names now that you mention it but it feels like forever ago that you got them lmao and wait in that case I have a silver too 😂🤣 my Lav Orp lol

That's beginning to be a problem with all gamebirds now days. Can't get any 'truly' new blood.

what do you mean?
There hasn't been any new imports since the ban on imports many years ago. So most likely any breeder you get birds or eggs from, they are going to be related. There are a few that have imported new bloodlines but by and large that is not the case.
