Mine have never gotten sick from itIt’ll make them sick... I believe dirty water is what has made some of our chickens sick in the past.
Duck water is different than a mud puddle. They poop, put food, and sorts of stuff in it. It’s grossMine have never gotten sick from itbut I don’t like leave dirty water around or anything. It’s just sometimes if it rains or whatever or if I am filling the waterer and it overflows or whatever, they will drink from the puddles or the overflow on the ground rather than the fresh, clean bowl.
They do drink from the bowl too but seem to love drinking from mud puddles instead.
but they all soak back into the ground fairly quickly sothey don’t really get more than a few sips usually. They mostly drink the clean water. But they just like puddles. And also when they are free ranging they will drink out of any source available. I try to make sure the only source available are fresh bowls or pools multiple places.
Oh wow that’s disgusting hahahDuck water is different than a mud puddle. They poop, put food, and sorts of stuff in it. It’s gross
