Can you introduce quail that are 2 weeks apart?

I think these quail will be ready to go out in about a week so I am just wondering how introductions go. I have a grow out pen in case they try to kill them, but I wanted the ones I like to be in the aviary together until they are mature and I can tell what they are then it will be decided if we keep them or not.

I would wait until they're all adults before actually putting them in together, but if you can house them next to each other where they can see but not touch each other, the integration will go smoother when the time comes.

Well that sucks... So I have to stick with 3 quail in that huge aviary until they are all 6 weeks. I guess my plan will have to wait lol.

There is nothing that says you can't put a smaller, temporary pen inside the aviary.

That's a good idea. I'll keep that in mind should I ever get an aviary. Apparently I'm limited to 20 birds maximum, no matter what age, however. (I won't tell if no one else does...)

I will have to make some type of cage for them. I like quail almost as much as my chickens. The eggs I got last weekend are all fertile! We have a "dollhouse" type coop with a run below that will be for my grow outs until we butcher them. It is just one of those ones from TSC that fit 6 chickens. I hope to keep at least 10-15 quail for breeders but who knows what will happen.

The quail so far like that aviary. Their favorite thing is the milk crate.
