Wow ... now 24h after the first hatch, the most are hatched, 58 hatched of 64 gone to lock-down.
First time that I had such a simultan hatch 🤓
6 eggs still in the 'bator ...

I think I must be counting days wrong. I set my eggs on a Tuesday evening, and counted that as Day 0. I put them in lockdown two Tuesdays later, day 14. But I've just had two hatch this morning, Thursday, which should only be day 16. Should I count the day I set them as Day 1? I mean, this isn't even fully day 16 because I set them in the evening and here they are hatching in the morning. Could that be a sign my incubator is still too warm?

Time to start warming the brooder again I guess. So exciting. Just a day earlier than I expected.

The day you set is day zero, and every 24 hrs that passes is a day. So if you set Tuesday at 6pm that's "day zero", and Wednesday at 6pm officially competes day one because they eggs have officially lived in the incubator for 24 hrs, or one complete day. Lockdown will begin After 336 hours, or 14 compete days in the incubator.
My understanding is early hatches mean the incubator was too hot, late hatches mean the incubator was too cold.

Well, hm. I guess it's still too hot in there. I have two thermometers in there, but both on the ends since I can only read them if they're outside the turner. After lockdown, I put another one in the middle since the turner was out, and it read higher. I guess I'll bring the whole thing down a little more then.
