Hey everyone there is a fairly new app that I’m going to be using to talk about gardening and raising fowl and other animals my first show is Monday @ 730pm central time. The app is called stereo I’ll put my link in here and if want to come join and add to the knowledge pool that would be awesome!!! The app lets you record message that the host plays you can record up to a 1 minute long message and we will play it and answer your questions or you just add whatever knowledge you have to the conversation I think it going to be a lot of fun. @Kiki I would love to see you there you have a lot of knowledge on the quail and we are going to try to get to quail on Monday as well. If not we will get to quail on the following Monday. Hope to see you all there.

in general, zack doesn’t let it go for more than 5-10 over website price as max.....and the reason max for auctions is higher than web price is that he auctions 30-480 vs selling 25-whatever on the website.

The egg count may be higher, but they're still paying more than they would if they ordered from the website, lol. If you check my last post where I followed all the auctions and posted the results, I was doing the math to figure price per egg, and every single auction was higher than the website's price. Some, like Rosetta, were literally double the price per egg you pay on the website.

i didn’t follow very closely today but i just know general max as I am an admin on the auction page and have called a few auctions when zack was not available.

Well I mean, if they can make more money doing the auctions than they would if the people would just check the website and order because everyone bidding is too silly to do the math, good for them, right? People are paying what they think the eggs are worth. If that means that they're paying more than they need to, that's their own fault.

It just means I personally won't bid because to me the idea of an auction is to get a deal, not pay more than I would usually, haha.

One of my birthday set date eggs hatched! The other is being a slowpoke. It definitely is out of the Pearl Fee group like I wanted, but it's solid yellow. The last one I hatched like this feathered out all white, which is unusual. I'm thinking recessive white. Either that or sometimes when hatching Pearl Fee you can get solid white birds.

May I join, I would love to talk about my special breed of quail.

This breed is so stuck up they don’t even lay eggs. :th
I think you would find my knowledge on quail very helpful. It’s about on the same level as a newborn baby.

Cause it's too cold up there. I'd hold them in also if I was that cold.

Brought to you from rainy, dreary Texas at a balmy 43°F. The prognosticator is saying 39°F tonight. Getting 4 eggs from the quail under lights. 8 hens. 4 eggs. They are holding out.

Enjoy your warmth. It is 1°F here right now.

Turns out the other birthday quail was late because it has a bent beak. Not crooked or crossed, bent. Never seen that. I think it was probably squished up in the egg.

Anyway, it pipped but couldn't zip. I got it out. It's drying off and seems fine otherwise. We'll see how it does.
