Everything I see says they had a banner year for deer in 2018 in Wyoming. If there had been a serious gnat threat to deer in Wyoming I am sure the G&F would have mentioned it.

Your right i went to your G&F webpage and no where are gnats mentioned but the wasting disease is anually worsening

@mixedUPturk so I'm looking at jmf site and I can't for the life of me find celadon eggs. Could I just call them up and order that way? You are so lucky to live near them. I have 0 hatcheries near me unless you count @CoturnixComplex lol

I think you just have to call/email him!

So, interestingly, I had heard the exact opposite about JMF and his celadon eggs (that he wouldn't release the 100% true-breeding homozygous strain) as of a few months ago, so I wonder if that changed recently!

worked in the yard again today!! got last part tilled, seeded, extra dirt moved to garden...potting soil down and squash and onion seeds planted. 1 quail hen still thinks the garden area is her personal dust bath!!she stayed in there through at least 15 wheelbarrows of dirt being dumped and then sneaked back in after planting!! fenced around yard that we seeded last week to keep dogs out. recycled the remainder of my pavers to make “patio” under my koi pond swing and walkway to sidewalk.
The yucky weather yesterday claimed 2 of my 3 weekish quail we just released and both my buff silkie cross babies in the brooder.
Good new is I finally got my first (3) eggs!!!

Your right just call! He told me his random blue eggs in with the XL pharaohs will not necessarily lay blue, but that the seperate celadon line does breed true.

Do the celadon layers lay as frequently (more or less) as the other birds? Or do you know? I really love the blue eggs.

Just found this thread and haven’t read it yet but skipped to the end and noticed all the celadon talk so wanted to say that a couple months ago I was researching that color too and I did find this place that also has them.
