➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

It looks like you’re missing a part. The silver post in your photo should have a black polymer arm attached. Here’s a picture of mine:

The silver post rotates and turns the black arm, which pushes the turning tray. You can set it to rotate the eggs up to eight times per day. The black arm is attached by a tiny cotter pin. You should have gotten these parts in your box. If you didn’t, you need to call them. They are very helpful, in my experience.
The arm is in the photo, just light, so hard to see.
I’ve used this incubator several times, and honestly like my foam better. I only use this one because it cost so much, and because it’s easy to see the eggs hatching. Especially important when Duckling is wetting herself trying to see in.

The exposed part of the red wire is making me think it came loose. It was rotating eggs back in... January I think. I just have not been watching much. I have two more hours to wait. Then I will know if it’s rotating or not.

That wire does look like maybe it's not fully seated....doesn't quite look like mine tho.
Either does your metal arm, mine is plastic like CindyinSD's.

@BullChick Your connection looks like it might be easier to fix than mine would be (if it needs fixing). Mine looks like it plugs into the circuit board. Those things always scare me. They seem so delicate and flimsy. Usually they’re tougher than I think but I still hate messing with them. Anyway, it’s gots eggs in so that’s as close a look as I’m gonna get so long as it keeps working. :p

(also, I am joking, I do not think I would take your summers for anything @Texas Kiki O.O)

We have beautiful sunny breezy 80 degree summers, but if you stand in the sun for more than a moment without sunscreen you disintegrate into a cartoon pile of ash.
I can not wait til July or August to see if I can hatch some eggs in a shoe box outside.
