➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

It's a really difficult decision as to whether to assist or not. And the kicker is, you will never know for sure if you made the right decision. Use your best judgement, and don't beat yourself up if the chick doesn't make it.

Still keeping my fingers crossed for a good outcome and successful hatch.

In my experience, all of the chicks that pip like that end up failing to thrive. The one that I managed to get to finally hatch from one like this later died probably from exhaustion..

So it’s up to Kiki and what she wants to do.

Ditto, with the exception of a single hen who is now one of my nicest and just needed a teeny weeny fleck of help (and honestly I think I just assisted early). When I have to basically peel them out they've never made it :/

When he's out, sugar/probiotic/electrolyte/whatever-your-poison-is water asap!

I agree. She’ll probably use Nutridrench but sometimes things just happen for a reason! I’m ready for her 30+ eggs that she’s going to set and see how her fertility rate is going. :)
