Yes - I will open Jaffarra’s crop tomorrow. And clean it out.

Betty is not doing good either. I tried to drain the fluid in her crop but she flicked the tube out and sprayed me with the most foul putrid smelling fluid. I need to clean that out also and see why she wants isn’t passing anything.

I guess I’ll open her crop also and check to see if there is a blockage. Why are these crop issues happening? This is what happened with Twister and Leah.

Have you tried giving them ?cellulase? the thing RC has used to break up plant fibers to 'get things moving' again when there is a blockage like what you are describing.

Well, it happened again. I’m in hospital for a day or two. My breathing became very difficult. My balance impossible, and no appetite for any food for three days! Test results leaning towards kidney failure, liver disease and dangerously low blood pressure.
But I have high hopes for a complete recovery. I miss my birds terribly. And driving is out of the question, let alone flying.

Oh my, that sounds horrible. Sorry you're going through that. It definitely isn't an easy experience but I hope you recover.

I have so many connections to my body right now. IV, heart monitor, Blood pressure monitor, oxygen, and something on my finger I don’t understand. Some kind of tube attached to my ear. My nurse is kind, but she’s been very busy. I saw patients in gurneys lining the walls waiting for treatment. I was very fortunate to not have to wait long. Paul, my wingman took me here. I cut mine in half when at that stage and they finish eating the innards.

I don’t think there is much innards left. The smaller ladies go inside him and clean up.

My gang cleaned out the pumpkin until it was just a bowl with the skin holding its shape

They still peck at it, but it’s pretty much done. Time for the manure pile!

Our other two residents came to us in April as chicks. My wife raised them until they moved outside and then they became my responsibility.

Hattie is our lavender orpington hen. She has not starting laying yet but i expect she will once the days turn longer.
