➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Do you hatch eggs vertically on end currently? I was thinking that the holders would be hard for the chicks to get out of and could lead to injuries. Also, the pip occurs on the side of the egg, so I assumed that the egg should lay sideways just like it would in a natural nest.
What?

No, I've not tried it yet. I have read that it is better. Plus in the holder, the hatched chicks can't push the eggs around. I plan to try it one day just to see.

Super quail (runt quail) has gone to heaven overnight :hit not sure what I could have done to save it, a bit bummed though. Edit -super quail number 2 has also gone to heaven:hit

I'm curious to see the difference when my own quailies are old enough to breed, rather than bought/shipped eggs. As in, if the chicks are healthier, higher hatch rates, etc etc.
