āž” Quail Hatch Along🄚

I won't make everyone look at pictures of unpleasant autopsy business, but I got a firsthand look at what can go wrong with twins today. I think the chick(s) made it to day 12 of development (feathers had developed) before severe conjoinment became fatal. At first glance it looked like a single chick with just an extra set of legs, but I found evidence of other melded parts.

Would you like to tell us about it? We will be more than happy to make fun of you and point. :)

Hatching is so exciting! However, we only control the incubator. The rest is beyond us. This is how we learn patience. :fl

I'm using old juice bottles, ice cream containers, potato salad boxes, etc. Why buy new?

Pro tip. If you cut the top off a bottle, turn it upside down in another bottle it becomes your "inside pipe" that holds more feed. I'm using the chick feeder now, but they are messy. I'm working on my prototype.
My regular feed store was out of my preferred game bird feed...again. I had to settle forthis, because I was too lazy to drive down the road.
