➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

6 perfect babies :love
(All with perfect legs and feet :old)

4 eggs waiting..
(including the one that has cracks because I dropped it at lockdown )

In my previous recent hatch, shipped eggs but 2 of my own, that I accidently mixed up.. I had one little yella tiny one, that drowned itself in the waterer :thme thinks, that may have possibly been our egg/baby - there was no other yella ones in that hatch

Sorry for the loss....I hate it when you have 'drown proof' waterers and they still manage to drown themselves! :barnie

Quail waterers worked great for me. They use the quart sized jars and have a small base so they can't drown.
I've had them drown with the so called 'drown proof' waterers, the 1/4" lip and 1/4" deep ones, the small base ones.

Ok found this on you-tube! Just turn the sound up about 6 or 8 more levels and you'll get a picture of what it's like to hear that at 3:00am and being woke up by it! :lau I was just playing this back, and mine started doing it! :gig
I have definitely been woken up by mine... they make such a shrill noise. I am still waiting to put them out in the shed. Winter temps have hung around a bit later than expected
