➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Mine hatched the other day! 15 out of 17 fertile eggs here's a pic of some of them (not even half )

My 8th & 9th babies have hatched overnight

I can't quite believe it! 9 out of my 10 eggs hatched
(number 10 I dropped & killed, so we'll never know if it would have hatched)

Yeah I'm stoked.. especially because it's my first 'homebred hatch'- its a test of my quail husbandry skills.. and you know.. it could have gone either way

I don't follow regular rules.
I like to start my quail at about 90 and lower it every day.
I take them off of Added heat really quick.

I’ve got some pips, but no rolling eggs, chirping from the bator, or any real activity yet.....so instead of obsessing and hovering over the bator, I thought I’d upload a few more shots from yesterday for your viewing pleasure!!

@CoturnixComplex....this shows the different feathering i’ve noticed on the falb fee we discussed earlier!

2) roux dilute
3,4) pearl (same bird)

Gorgeous @muddy75 ! I do see what you are talking about with the falb fee, looks potentially very similar.

#2 is a roux dilute male, not red range Good for sex-linked projects!
