Maybe if you ran the hose into the side of the bator instead from the top, it might not drip or not drip as bad? Idk,

We were thinking the same thing. Hubs will make a hole in the side before I put in the next batch of eggs and we'll test it out first to see how it goes.

Last night before bed I swear I saw an egg rock. Thought nothing of it, babies are due Wednesday.

It's 0200, I got up to go to the bathroom and checked on the incubator temp/humidity. There are at least a dozen chicks in there right now.

Yeah, cabinet's are definitely better than foam bators. I have 1 GQF Sportsman Model 1200, had it since the late 70's . I built 2 GQF 'knockoffs' , have 2 LG, 2 Farm Innovators, 1 Hovabator, and 1 Nurture Rite. Plus, 2 repurposed hatchers, I built wooden boxes and gutted 2 of the old LG's I had that wouldn't keep temp anymore and made hatchers with the heating elements and thermostat.

Somebody sounds like a bator hoarder.

Boy that's a lot! Fill them all up at the same time...I wonder how many eggs that would be.

I have DIY humidifiers on my cabinet bators. I use the old, not made anymore Model 1700 Pur Aire humidifiers. I set mine up in the middle of the bator, at the front of the bator, have the sensor a few inches away from the output but not in the stream of the flow. I don't have any problems with it dripping.
I set it up this way back when I also hatched duck and goose eggs....so easy to set and forget. You can set it for whatever kind of eggs your setting not have to fiddle with how much water you have to add to get the humidity right for each application.
