The black head one looks like someone's prank went wrong!View attachment 1820368 View attachment 1820369 View attachment 1820370 And finally some updated pics of my “quickens” Hodor and the wonder twins! One of the wonder twins is clean legged and the other is feather legged! One has full black silkie head and the other a shorter “haircut” we believe both came from my black silkie’s egg with BO roo....giving all 3 the same “daddy”
yes they have heads that only a momma could love!! and in a sense it was an “incubation prank gone wrong”.The black head one looks like someone's prank went wrong!![]()
I would consider it a swapping of genes that shouldn't have happened.yes they have heads that only a momma could love!! and in a sense it was an “incubation prank gone wrong”.
Our dumps are terrifying but cl might work. I gotta find a cheap, good condition truck sooooon. Prius is great but gonna need a truck for my bigger plans. Sigh.Might I recommend the dorm frig conversions? Can pick up a broken frig in several select dump sites for little to nothing.
The farmer we buy from has a truck with chest freezers in the back. Cute setup.
no worries! they were adorable as chicks....the black came later and totally clashes with the outfit!I would consider it a swapping of genes that shouldn't have happened.this is all in fun joking around,
no hard feelings.
I had a turkey poult that had pop eyes. They were much more extended from the skull than those. It was doing fine for a week until it committed turkeycide. Sorry I never took any pics of it.
Are the myshires jumbos or colors? That’s 70% fertility.....extremely low for myshire!!! I’m overdue for candling the 90 (60 jumbo 30 FF) will hopefully get round to it tonight and update my fertility rate for comparisonCandled my quail eggs today, day 7. Pulled 36 Myshire eggs. Most never developed, 3 quitters, two that got cracked in the incubator. That leaves 84 Myshire eggs.
Pulled 4 of my backyard eggs, those 4 had no development. That leaves 24 backyard eggs going.
I have not added any water to the incubators this time. Humidity has been between 20-35%. I saw obvious differences in development, probably due to temperature differences in the bators, so I'm expecting a long hatch period.
