So my not quite five week old boys have started to crow. Hope the hormones hold off long enough to get them to a decent size before they start fighting. Is eight weeks usually a good age for butchering jumbos?

Pulled 20 quitters and put everyone else in lockdown this morning. So I have 88 potentials. Only 1 backyard quitter, the rest were myshire. Opened them all and quite a few made it so darn close, one looked viable, but was dead.

I keep going to the quail auction site and going, "ooh, I want those!" and then immediately telling myself, "No! Bad Nabiki! Your incubator is full and you haven't even hatched your first batch yet. Get established, then you can play."

Nope, but they have really cool colors, and several are colors specific by gender. My buttons are crazy and don't want anything to do with the giant that brings the food. They lay the cutest little eggs though.

Is it worrying that my celadon eggs should have shipped last week or this week and when I text jmf to see if they're shipping, he says he'll get back to me...and doesn't?

If u change ur mind my buttons have been laying a breeding a month or so im not setting any of their eggs or letn em try to sit because...

Exactly. I screwed up getn pets and i posted the extra pair for sale on CL already.

It is not worrisome. he is a very busy man and often his shipments leave late, he forgot to even message me that he shipped the first batch then they went to the wrong place and its a huge mess. Still top of the line stock and i was beyond pleased when i got em. He tries to cater to our lil 100 egg orders but in reality he has a much larger operation than what private breeders usually do and still even allow smallish orders. Hes been saying to me that hes going to phase the colors out because he makes the bulk of his business with the pharoah's.

a little worrisome but probably just taking longer than planned to fill the order......jmf one of few that advertises celadon so probably high demand/short supply issue....(.myshire only has occasional availability in auction only) i was lucky to get my 15.
