Did I need a duck?. Do I really need fake quailies?

Your parents must be so proud! That is so responsible and adult of you.I keep going to the quail auction site and going, "ooh, I want those!" and then immediately telling myself, "No! Bad Nabiki! Your incubator is full and you haven't even hatched your first batch yet. Get established, then you can play."
Yes.Did I need a duck?
Is it worrying that my celadon eggs should have shipped last week or this week and when I text jmf to see if they're shipping, he says he'll get back to me...and doesn't?
Did you take pictures of the eggs? I'd like to see how blue they are.a little worrisome but probably just taking longer than planned to fill the order......jmf one of few that advertises celadon so probably high demand/short supply issue....(.myshire only has occasional availability in auction only) i was lucky to get my 15.
She's probably the worst one.Your parents must be so proud! That is so responsible and adult of you.
Sorry, nephews visiting and I just had to say that to someone...Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity. Muddy is such a terrible influence.
It can get Little pricey in large area but if you place a “grass mat” under the cage it will catch poop and last about a month then can be rolled up poop and all and replaced. You can seed underneath and possibly get some grass to grow (since you don’t have birds down there picking everything they see!) 140 square foot roll is approximately $20....can also sprinkle on some pdz for odor controlAnybody keeping quail on wire? I'm looking for ideas on keeping odor down from all their poop. My outdoor cage is about 4' off the ground. The poop just falls onto dirt below. I thought of composting, but I don't want heat and fumes from the pile to rise right into the quail cage. Deep litter maybe? It would get a bit wet though. The quail cage has a solid roof to protect the quail from rain, but some rain will get on the dirt (and deep litter if I went that route) since the roof is about 5' off the ground. I fear deep litter would get moldy and smell worse than just the poop on dirt.

Nope but just did hahaha....mine aren’t overly blue....more white with small speckles and photo really washes out any blue tint. I do have some of my layers eggs though that look basically normal outside but extremely blue inside! I’ve been meaning to take a pic and ask some of the genetics lovers what that means!!!Did you take pictures of the eggs? I'd like to see how blue they are.
