Yes, however, the weather prognosticators did not say cover your quail cages. They said it would rain. Good with rain. Not good with howling tornado force winds. At the point I understood this, I was fine with the quail getting damp. The top of the bedding dried.
Other issue was tarps act very much like sails. The coops are top heavy and would go for a ride.
Good thoughts though. Keep them coming!
I have small peices of tin cut off of sheets on each end of my triple hole hutch, doesnt hold heat in the way wood would but keep blowing rain from getn to them. Also all my pens possible are facing south, most if my weather comes from you Texans to the west, and what comes from the south isnt gonna be anything i can do anything about(hurricanes.)
