➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Would anyone here attempt to keep two males in with nine females in 30 square feet or just don’t even risk it?

I’ve been thinking I would just do one but now that butchering day is getting close I’m reconsidering. What if the one male I keep doesn’t work out (is a jerk or won’t perform)?
if they are same hatch and have been together throughout life, you should be fine, just make sure there’s hideaways and watch them closely for aggression or overbreeding.

My auction eggs arrive tomorrow.
I haven't even started building a new cage yet but my bator is up and running.

I'm really thinking about ordering three more larger rabbit cages with pull out trays to stack on top of my other three.

I have never done this alone before, and never a female. Duckling has her chicken breast strips (and brought them with her when she left two seconds after they came out of the oven), but I don’t know if I just tore up the lower half, or didn’t finish getting everything out. It’s in the fridge right now, so I cannot post a picture at the moment. However, I took pictures of some eggs. Tomorrow’s egg is with Duckling whom won’t tell it that it’s mother is dead.
