I haven't figured out how to build frames good yet. That's price for me. DIY is just so cheap. I could made another 8x3 ft cage for $35.

i need to....but couldn’t find any “organic yuppie dirt” at RK.....You don't put dirt boxes in the cage for them?
Meanie.
I use the 24". I don't want to be trying to reach a stubborn bird in too big of a cage. I'm putting up more tomorrow, so I can divide them out more.

If you put another dirt box under their food it will catch the spilled feed which they might eat out of the dirt.I use the 24". I don't want to be trying to reach a stubborn bird in too big of a cage. I'm putting up more tomorrow, so I can divide them out more.

How many adult quail do you think you can keep in a cage this size?I found these. They don’t seem too pricey and seem a lot sturdier than the TSC ones haha reviews were saying how flimsy they are? Idk. Also you can’t really tell here but they do have a second page too and the second page has bigger cage options. Thinking maybe I’ll order some of these or even the double or triple ones put together lol maybe the 30 x 30 or 36 x 30 or idk lol maybe smaller ones would be fine? Also it’s neat they have different compartment sizes for the partitioned cages too so for example, you could get one that’s the same length as another but only has two cages in it instead of three cages or whatever. To give them more room. Idk. Anyway, might buy one of these lol or do the 3 cages in one thing ha. Somewhat expensive but way easier than building my own and better than anything I could build lol idk. I don’t think they have trays though but I could always attach some underneath.

They also have tons of other rabbit cages and supplies including some cool stackable ones with trays and stuff but those are all way more expensive and pricey.

Update on the yuppie dirt. I did end up picking up a block of compressed coconut coir from Walmart the other day. It is near the potting soil and meant as a soil amendment I think so probably finer than the pet store stuff. I reconstituted with 4 gallons of water and it seems to work well. Sometime I mix in some sand too.i need to....but couldn’t find any “organic yuppie dirt” at RK.....going to buy some at menards when i go and add it in earlier. of course my babies are usually on the ground by 3-4 weeks.
