I store my feed in a cistern, no rats, mice. Also have quite a few resident owls and hawks that take care of the rodents pretty well. If one of my birds gets out, it's taken care of pretty quick, too!No rats? :O Wish I could say that.. Lost 2 cots and a cockatiel to rats within the last few months - they chewed their way into the aviary through the wooden door. I'm feeding my chickens half the usual amount to make sure there are no left overs for the rats and this has caused them to steal food in places they usually don't go - they stole 500 grams of rabbit treats a few nights ago - I didn't think those were attractive to the rats since they'd been there for several weeks without being touched, but apparently cutting back on the chicken feed made the rabbit treats attractive.. I really need a proper place to store all of my feed.
have never loss a bird to rats or mice.
wouldn't quit laying last year? Don't have a clue for the reason but I have noticed alot of reproductive problems with melanistic pheasants through the years of raising them, Blue, Black or Green, makes no difference, all have some repro problems.

(dont take that wrong i cant house them right now
