I'm heading to my library now.The Talisman was my favorite but The Black House is a close runner up. Each did alot of tying into other stories. I love them all. I was an avid novel reader before adult life kicked in and now with much less time i choose to do my limited reading on here where im learning the most current info about poultry.
So i too haven't read a book cover to cover in Years. In my day thoughi devoured em. Loved alot of Grishams work too.
Have you read Red Dragon by Thomas Harris? It's an oldie, but good. Same author as Silence of the Lambs.I need a new murder book to read.

What author am I looking for here?If you look closely, there are easter eggs referring to his other books in most of his books. They all tie together at least a little bit. The Talisman is one of my favourites too. He's such a good writer that I can finish one of his books, having been engrossed during the entire read, only to realize that not much actually happened!

Edit: Charlaine Harris has some good murder/mystery books too. Books that aren't True Blood.
