➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

She's extremely emotionally attached and invested in anything that breathes. Except gophers and moles. I once broke a field mouse's leg trying to pick it up with a shovel and she tried to bring it into our house to save it. Way too much for me.
This makes me giggle.

I wonder... could one give a baby quailie a blow-dry? Or would the poor little thing have a coronary?
I have been known to use blow dryer to warm quail chicks!! when really little was a last ditch effort to see if extra warmth would revive them but several @3ish weeks that were almost dead from flooding in aviary this spring!! I think we rescued 8/12 that were minutes from death!!

I moved #36 to the brooder, called the hatch, cleaned the incubator, and moved this weekend’s hatch to lockdown! (22 homegrown eggs). 2 of my noisy babies had to be transferred to the shed with the buttons and older chicks under threat of having their heads pinched! All is peaceful in the living room now....:D will hopefully have August hatch total early next week! but so far is 40 C + this weekend and 4 buttons

Some have it on their backs between the wings. I might try warm bath.
Btw. Auburn on 49 is terrrrrible. It's like roseville with crazy suicide lanes
Yeah, I am not fond of driving 49. Everyone drives too fast, and the deer love to jump in front of cars. About 2 years back, maybe three now, I hit a deer on 49. It was not fun.
