Good ideaI think a lot of people buy rubber shelf liner and that seems to work well. And it’s cheap.
Yes most of them there are still a couple pipped so hoping for a good turnoutthey are absolutely adorable!! that’s a great assortment of colors for a first hatch too!! have any of the celadons hatched yet??
yes!! $1 per roll at dollar store.....i have even been known to wash and re-use once cut to size......can sometimes be helpful in brooder as well. i keep mine on puppy pad covered with paper towels (easier to change more often) for about 1-2 weeks. then they graduate to bedding (pellets or shavings).....i also keep waterer on piece of wood if using shavings so water doesn’t “wick” out when they kick bedding and food into it. (most common causes of brooder death are drowning, wetness, and pile-ups)I think a lot of people buy rubber shelf liner and that seems to work well. And it’s cheap.

With the chickens I hatched I would get very low hatch rates on shipped eggs I was beginning to think there was something wrong with my process but this hatch proves to me at least that my process is just fine only thing I did different was a dry hatch and left the turner out and turned by hand
