I heard one of my roosters crowing this morning I haven’t heard them crow for a while high hopes here for eggs soon

I love hearing them crowing!

Strange things happen. I was surprised to confirm 2 roosters in Set1 Breeders from the Jumbos. Set3 jumbo rooster dropped dead this morning. No apparent wounds nor internal issues that I can see. But dead at morning feed. I also think he was the largest one of the lot. Slowest to grow out, but largest one.

I cleaned the coops yesterday. He wasn't the one that got out and netted. Strange things indeed.

stil no chickies maybe they forgot to set their oven timers?? i candled a couple this morning and pulled 1 early quitter that i missed at lockdown. another one still seemed to show some movement but no internal pip yet....the last batch started hatching around 12 hours into hatch day.....

i have to go on a feed run today i fed all the indoor birds and have maybe 1# left to take to the aviary.....

Such little birds shouldn’t eat that much. Then you figure out you have 2 dozen in there. They do eat a bit.

yeah according to the chicken math formula, I only have about 2 dozen birds total
