Even easier...get two of these cement block things and stick a piece of wood in it.They definitely do need a roost! They’ve probably been ready for one for a couple weeks.
That looks easy enough!

You’ll never regret making it bigger. Thanks! We decided to make it bigger than originally planned.
My dad and I. Made it too big to be a one person job![]()
I am participating/doing a lot though.
Thanks! I must admit my dad is helping me but mostly just with the cutting and lifting and other stuff I can’t do myself but I’ve done a lot of the putting it together/nailing and holding everything in place and stuff.
We decided to just build one after considering all our options (buying one on Craigslist, fixing the doghouse, etc.) and deciding building was easier and faster and we could make it way nicer than any of those options.
We did however decide to expand it once we started building.![]()

I just set 22 chicken eggs from my own girls. If they all hatch... well, let’s just say there are 15 big turkeys that are gonna have to be in the freezer by then.
What size is it?That’s what I was thinking too!! It might even be big enough to house all of them!
Especially if I only wind up with two girls from my hatch which is really how it’s starting to look.
My dad says it’s perfect cause I can use the other coop as a shed for all my stuff... I say more chickens.
For now though, they will be separated and I’m moving the big girls into the new coop.
You have plenty of room.I just set 22 chicken eggs from my own girls. If they all hatch... well, let’s just say there are 15 big turkeys that are gonna have to be in the freezer by then.
What size is it?
What does it measure length and width wise?
