How many days do you wait until you candle? I set 6 eggs jan 21 and none of them look viable no air sacks or nothing.

Kiki candles daily.
I usually just candle at day 7 to pull clears and prevent exploding eggs and day 14 at lockdown to check for late quitters. Lots of pictures on the net and this site to show you what to look for. I candled at day 3 cause I was curious this time.

At day 5 you should see red or hopefully blood vessels and a large blob. If the egg is clear and glowing yellow, it wasn't fertile.

Use your phone flashlight if you don't have a 500 lumen flashlight, but preferably higher power to see into dark shells. I got a 1000 lumen flashlight just cause I wanted to.

I read that. I'm glad he can still auction eggs.

i had a bad feeling this morning when his first auction post got deleted.....but he was very positive and upbeat about the whole thing as usual so auctions should be back to normal by end of the week

actually didn’t go well auction site almost got shut down completely due to ban on live animal sales via facebook.....zack got it straightened out but can only auction eggs moving forward.

I wondered how long it was going to take for that to happen.

Ive been using a bright flashlight. I’ve candled/hatched chickens before but never quail.

Try a phone flashlight real quick...in a pitch dark room.

I don’t own a phone. I do believe I was told my flashlight was 1000 lumens though.
