I need to count mine tomorrow.
I think I might have more girls this time.

I had a lot more girls, but I sold most of them. I practiced subtraction on 16 boys last week. I'm not 100% sure of the rest, so I'm reluctant to practice subtraction on them yet. I need to, though since I have 49 3 week olds now.

Of the ones I separated out, I see several white and red chests among the ones that I tagged as boys, and not seeing any in the ones I tagged as girls. I do see 4 spotted chests in the boy brooder, but if I had no idea, I put them in with the boys. I'm still not confident in my vent sexing ability, though.

My assortment from Myshire should be arriving tomorrow! Started the incubator today. Temperature looks good so far. I want it 100 F right? What are your thoughts on humidity again? I think I ran 40-50% last season.

I’m assuming I’ll have to start with hand turning again since I ordered 25 eggs and I still just have the Janoel. I guess this should be easier with the current pandemic since I’m home most of the time. How many turns a day should I aim for?

you can put 24-25 in the turner and then the extras on the ends keeping your hand turning number to a minimum.....just be careful not to catch the extras with the turning rod or smashed against the edge.....can rotate them into the turner until you remove clears.....

I got another quail egg! Barring her laying another egg tomorrow, that means I'll have two to set for the EHAL at least, lol.

I'm curious if I'll end up just hatching more pharoahs. Who knows what she might be carrying color-wise.
