Quail getting into position to break out of the egg
I have a problem. I have a 2 day older quail in my brooder. That went from walking and eating the crumble and sliced cucumber to now it can't walk. Not sure what's happened or what's wrong with it.i have them under a Brinsea yellow heat pad in a brooder wooden box. With plastic Perspex as a roof. Any one know what would be the problem

I wouldn't recommend giving day old chicks anything other than a starter crumble for food but that's just my opinion. I doubt the cucumber has anything to do with it.

Check his butt and make sure poop is not stuck to it. Adding some electrolytes to his water wouldn't hurt but there's a fair chance it won't solve the problem...

I was told from the breeder I got the eggs of to give slices of cucumber.its legs have literally stopped walking. It can move them.just can't stand up. I'll check it's but for poo. But could it be anything else. Is this a common thing for quails.

Are you partying tonight!? :lau :pop
I am too old to party.
I think I worked out too late in the day and I was too wound up.
I'm getting my workout on early today.

How old is it?
What do you normally feed?

Sorry for my last questions... I'm catching up backwards.

I agree with @mdees88 about feeding it only game bird feed right now. Do you have any Nutri-Drench or other vitamins and If not can you get some this morning?

@Kiki why yes he is lol, luckily he's only 1/4th the size of a chicken 🤣 I could hear newly hatched chickens from across our house and we have a reasonably large hous, of course they're always start up at 1am too!🤦don't think I'll hear him across the house, but he's using those tiny lungs!
