If you set them in the morning you could count it as day one but I'm not so sure I'd count it as day one setting them in the afternoon.
Actually I think I have set eggs that late and counted it as day one.

Either way...
Not too important.

Did you calibrate a thermometer and do you have more than just one in your bator?

Have a mercury thermometer to make sure temp is accurate.

No.

Please don't be tricked into thinking that being NPIP means something good.

I am not a fan of anyone who uses someone else's name when trying to advertise.

'Line stock' crap is silly to me.
I'm familiar with NPIP, was certified for several years until it no longer made sense - I wasn't showing or shipping out of state, they test only for things we never see here, and once staff changed they seemed incapable of leaving a voicemail when they called me during work hours to make my annual testing appointment. This year is the first time in 3 years I've brought in any new birds, kept them quarantined, they are robustly healthy and on I go :)

The only time I've ever referred to lineage of my birds was when I was breeding Rhode Island Reds and people wanted to know where they originated, which honestly never made sense, because the person selecting the birds to breed and hatch from determines, to a large extent, the characteristics they are trying to perpetuate. When I bred dogs, I selected not only for conformation, but temperament, because it was a toy breed, which are intended to be companion animals, and if they're jerks they aren't very good companions.
