I do not select for temperament but I do not tolerate aggressive birds. My bantam class coturnix push the limits sometimes being as close to pure wild coturnix as their is though

Cleaned out the brooder. Lost one chick. Must have died last night. Others are heathy as hell.

I had one like that last weekend, woke up to a dead chick, 1 day old, looked like it went to sleep under the heat plate with the others and never woke up, no injuries or anything, guess something was wrong inside.

I had a double yolker that started to develop and early quit, I got a nice pic of the yolks inside, looks like one did better than the other.

they could have piled on her and squashed her. That happens sometimes.
