I heat the water and then do the killing.

we usually use the water heating up as an excuse for a beer break of course with quail, it doesn’t take very long to heat up the water on the stove.

I just spent the last hour cleaning egg sized mud balls off of the feet of five of my birds. Adobe can be nasty. Three of them got pretty wet, so they're inside for the night. My oldest bird (about 18 months) is in with the celadon babies and they're gathering around her.

So the chicks that I kept from the 'Egyptian' Myshire hatching eggs are old enough now that I can sex them.

I have no idea what they sent me. I've got Egyptian males. I've got Pharoah males. I've got Pharoah females. These can't even be sex linked with those outcomes.

I mean, I got some Egyptian males, at least? That's what I was after for my color project. But what the heck.

are they large?? my guess would be that maybe your order was out of one of the jumbo cages and/or got mixed up with a different foamer. glad you got some nice males for your project and with pharaoh females, you could set up a sex link cage

i moved the heat a little closer this morning and reheated their pillow.....they get really mad when i take it away but i’m concerned they will use it to commit suicide
