I have some arriving next week too! I look at the pics and I’m like, “I want black so bad”, then I see others and I’m like, “maybe one of those too, oh and that ones great...”

It was laying there making egg song. Very cute. I wouldn’t notice the little noises if I had a bunch carrying on at once.

hello all, my first quail eggs went into lockdown on Wednesday. I've been keeping a constant eye on the humidity etc. I haven't bothered to candle at all, so it's a total mystery so far....

I'm nervous because I haven't seen the eggs moving at all, or any pips yet. As of this morning it's Day 16 (counted from zero). I really hope they start to hatch this weekend! If not, you'll see me with a fresh batch next week...

I thought this was day 16. Went to lockdown last night and candled the night before which showed a couple in drawdown already. I knew it was getting close and still didn't expect the miracle to happen today. Both are wet, so I checked for pips before work and didn't see any. These didn't take long to pip and hatch. I've counted 2 other pips. Tomorrow will be the day.
